Product Description
The doctor recommended nasal aspirator. Developed in Sweden by Pediatricians and Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists, Nosefrida has been used by European Moms and Dads for years. It features a 15" clear plastic tube that extends from a nasal nozzle, allowing the parent to use their own suction to draw mucus out of their child's nose. Disposable filters prevent the user from catching the child's cold. The device is easy to clean and is dishwasher safe. Nosefrida is made of non-allergenic, latex-free polypropylene. It is safe to use and causes no injury to you or your child.

5 out of 5 stars Wish I had gotten it sooner!   July 21, 2010
Mariposita Queen
I heard about this product from a Mom at a baby shower. My 8 month old son is having a bad ear infection with lots of chest congestion as well. The traditional bulb was not helping much and I was desperate. After reading all the Amazon reviews I decided to get the NoseFrida. Got it from Target via Amazon. I didn't use it right away when I got it because I was doubtful. But then...WOW!!! The cilinder creates a good seal around the nostril. It sucked out so much stuff I was amazed! It was a lot more efficient than the traditional bulb. I really wish I would have known about the NoseFrida when my daughter, now 3 yrs old, had lots of ear infections as an infant. I hated using the bulb on her and so did she. My son doesn't like the NoseFrida either but I can get a LOT more snot out a LOT quicker thus making the whole process better for both of us. I'm working on the best method to do it by myself, but as of now, two people are better. I am using the saline first and having tissues ready as people have suggested. I bought the extra filters but, so far, the snot has *not come any where near the filter* so for those of you who think it's disgusting and you'll be swallowing your child's snot...you probably are not. Just try it!! I REALLY wish I had known about this product sooner. I'll be demonstrating it to my pediatrician next week.

5 out of 5 stars Kind of gross, but I still love it!   July 16, 2010

My 8 week old baby got her first cold and was miserably stuffed up, so much so that she was having a hard time feeding. I'd purchased a regular bulb nasal aspirator before she was born but when I tried to use it on her to clear her airways she screamed and screamed and it got absolutely NOTHING out, even though I could see the snot filling up her little nostrils.

After scouring the web I found this product which had glowing reviews and looked like it would do the trick. Boy did it! The first time I used it I couldn't believe the amount of mucus it got out! Baby still cries a bit, but lets face it, getting snot sucked out of your nose can't be very pleasant for a baby, but she doesn't cry nearly as intensely as she did with the o tehr aspirator. And she stops crying immediately as soon as I'm done, I can almost see the relief in her eyes because she's finally able to breath again!

The aspirator has a long tube that you suck on with your mouth to create the suction, allowing you more control over the amount of suction you use. While this sounds disgusting, there is a sponge filter that keeps any mucus from coming anywhere close to getting into your mouth. Just replace the filter with every use and it's completely hygenic.

Brilliant product that actually works!

1 out of 5 stars DOES NOT WORK!! DONT BUY!   July 16, 2010

We got this for my baby girl when she was just a few months old, because she absolutely hated the suction bulb (would scream and cry everytime I used it), and with all the great reviews I thought I had found the perfect answer! But I was wrong. This thing does nothing! Even when I put saline drops in her nose, and sucked on the tubing as hard as I could, it would barely get anything out of her nose! She would still be all stuffed up.
This product is a waste of money, and I would not recommend it to anyone. My advise? Stick with the bulb until theyre old enough to blow their nose, or at least old enough where yo can just wipe their nose. At least the bulb works!

5 out of 5 stars Greatest product invented   July 4, 2010

I don't usually would take the time to write reviews on amazon but i've gotta let the world know about this product. After reading so many good reviews, i decided to buy one. After i got it in the mail, it was a little intimidating for me to use. The idea of sucking the snot just totally grossed me out. So it was just sitting in the corner for some time. One day after using the bulb syringe and not having a satisfying result, I decided to give it a try. Amazingly, it sucked out so much stuff that i didn't know that was there. It's so easy to clean as well. You can see everything in the tube. Words of warning: have a clean tissue on the side. My baby's mucus was sometimes running and i accidentally dropped it back to his mouth. also, when i showed it to my ped, she was amazed too! it made her wonder why they didn't use this at delivery!!

5 out of 5 stars Nosefrida: AMAZING!   July 3, 2010

Although I wasn't expecting the manual version of this product, I was VERY happily surprised! It is highly effective in alleviating anything from minor sniffles to full-blown allergies. My son may not fully appreciate its methods, but he does breathe 100% better because of it! I highly recommend this product (and yes, the gross-ish manual version too; it's really not that bad!).
