Received the item this week and so far - love it! Great price and seems to be a great quality product. Came in a nice box and with a carrying sleeve.
The weight of the iron is heavier and the spring inside the iron seems to be of a good quality compared to others I have used out there. Love the 1.5" ceramic plate. Allows for quick straightening. HEats up super fast and heat remains consistent. Plates allow for smooth pulling through hair. PRoduct seems to build up on plates, although it is removed easily with a damp cloth.
Cord at base of unit swivels to decrease chance of breakage.
Really impressed with quality and price so far.

I bought this product over two years ago,(at the mall-ripoff-100 dollars on "sale" =(..when its much cheaper online) anyways thats not the point, my friends were coming over to my house just to use this straightener, it works amazing, and they even ended up buying one for themselves.
unfortunately, after 2+ years of using it i made it fall onto a hard floor and some of it chipped/cracked (my fault- its been though A LOT of falls, and fell when it was completely hot)
im glad i found them for cheaper online, totally buying it again

I have been using my Herstyler almost every day for a few months now and have not had any chipping whatsoever. I love the ease of use... although I did have to get a few tips from my hairstylist in order to get it right. Written instructions honestly don't do any good. If you want to be able to actually use these thing easily and make your hair look REALLY GREAT, ask your stylist for some tips! It makes all the difference in the world!!!

My girlfriend bought one of these. She was completely ripped off; I want to accurately portray this product so others don't get ripped off either. This is a terrible product. It is impossible to maneuver if you're using it on yourself. Since you have to turn it 360 degrees, hair will come out easily with the slightest give in pressure from your hand. The ceramic plates are made of low quality and chip easily. For the $170ish+ price tag (retail) that this product reccommends, you could probably purchase a ton of crappy curlers that will do a better job, faster, and you won't feel like you've been assulted. Ladies, I can't reccommend this product any worse, its by far one of the worst things you can do to your pride and wallet at the retail price. At a $50ish tag, as its currently listed on Amazon for, you're buying a pricey straightener of poor caliber.
After 5 hours of trying to get this product to work, I nearly cried. With enough practice you can get a friend to produce some half-way decent curls, but try and do it yourself and you'll start screaming profanities within a few minutes of use.

The ceramic plates chipped within two weeks of purchasing this product. There was no abuse to the product - it simply chipped when it was set down on the sink. I have tried to email multiple times to get a new one, but no one at the company will get back to me. This is the worst purchase I've ever made.
